An Ultra-Wideband Ridged Biconical Multibeam Antenna

چکیده

This paper presents an ultra-wideband multibeam antenna with eight radiating elements that are connected to the central cylindrical part. Each element consists of a TEM horn fed by coaxial ridged planar waveguide transition. The connection between and part equivalently acts as biconical antenna. behavior is guaranteed wideband properties adapter. Comprehensive optimization performed minimize return losses cross-coupling ports reach appropriate performance. A prototype fabricated use in experimental verification. An adequate level agreement observes measurement simulation results. Comparing results confirms proposed has proper performance at frequency band 2–18 GHz. diameter height $9.5 \lambda _{0} \times 1.33 _{0}$ , its dimensions, especially structure’s height, smaller than previous investigations. Also, gain changes from 7 15.7 dBi antenna’s range isolation −20 −70 dB. Another advantage this low high-power handling due all-metallic structure. These features make suitable choice for applications.
